What I
do

Services

Three types of projects — all starting with a conversation. No shopping cart, no anonymous form. Just a direct message and an honest discussion about what makes sense.

01
Custom Builds

A board built around how you work

Daily driver keyboards for writers, developers and creatives. We start by understanding where you type, what you care about — sound, feel, aesthetics, portability — and what already sits on your desk. Then we design something that fits.

Preference for proven parts over hype products. No unnecessary upgrades. Clear timelines and transparent pricing from day one.

What's included

  • Initial consultation — understanding your use case, preferences and budget
  • Parts selection with honest recommendations (no upsells)
  • Full assembly on Stord — desoldering if needed, switch swap, lube, film
  • Sound and feel tuning — foam, tape, gasket work depending on board
  • Sound recording or video test shared before shipping
  • Post-delivery support — if something isn't right, we fix it
Every build is documented. You'll know exactly what went into your board and why.
02
Modding & Tuning

Make what you have actually good

Have a board that's almost right but not quite? Or one that came factory-assembled with zero care taken? I'll take it apart, figure out what's wrong and fix it properly.

Deep, clean sound without killing all character. Balanced tuning — not just maximum dampening. I'll tell you what the board can realistically achieve and we go from there.

Common modifications

  • Switch lubing (linear, tactile, clicky — different methods)
  • Switch filming for wobble reduction
  • Stabiliser work — lubing, wire balancing, band-aid mod
  • Internal dampening — foam cuts, PE foam, tape mods
  • Gasket and mounting adjustments
  • Hotswap socket installation (select boards)
  • Keycap fitting and stem cleaning
Pricing depends on the scope. We discuss it before anything starts.
03
Education

Learn it, don't just buy it

You don't need to know every switch brand or plate material to get a great board. But understanding the basics — what actually affects sound, feel and longevity — means you'll make better decisions for the rest of your life as a keyboard person.

I'll walk you through it at your pace. No judgment, no gatekeeping. Just clear explanations of what matters and what's marketing.

Ask a question

Topics I cover

  • Switch types and what they actually feel like to type on
  • Plate materials and their effect on sound and flex
  • Case construction — tray, top mount, gasket, leaf spring
  • Keycap profiles, materials and legends (PBT vs ABS, etc.)
  • Budget allocation — where to spend, where to save
  • How to evaluate a build before buying parts
  • Long-term maintenance and what to look for over time
Often bundled into a custom build consultation at no extra cost.
Pricing

Honest numbers, not vague ranges

Every project gets a clear quote before work begins. Below are rough starting points — actual cost depends on scope, parts and shipping.

Custom build
Parts + labour

Fully transparent. You see the parts list and what I charge for my time. No hidden handling fees.

Modding service
From ~400 NOK

Depends on what needs doing. A full lube + stab job on a standard board is the baseline.

Consultation
Often free

If it leads to a project, the consultation is part of the work. If not, it costs us both some time — that's fine.

What I don't do

Mass-produced, anonymous "customs" with no thought behind the build

Race-to-the-bottom budget builds with parts I don't stand behind

Maximum-RGB, rainbow-by-default aesthetic

Artificial scarcity, limited-time pressure or "last chance" framing

Next step

Let's figure out
what makes sense

Send me a message describing what you're after. Even if you're not sure what you want yet — that's what the first conversation is for.
